Each member brings a depth of professional experience and market insight, ensuring our partners are in capable hands.
Amanda Wager
Director
Amanda worked across Oil Operations at BP Oil International, as Operations Manager in the UK and then the USA, where she oversaw the merger of the Supply and Trading teams of BP and Amoco, moving across to develop Recruitment and Training programmes. Latterly she was a Trading Manager for Feedstocks and then Business Process & Strategy Manager for US trading. On returning to the UK, Amanda worked for a time in the further education sector, delivering careers guidance, and volunteered for a mental health charity. She returned to the energy industry as Director of Recruitment & Training with Smart Global Trading facilitating the delivery of commercial training and graduate recruitment programmes. Amanda joined Pennine Energy Resources to develop our recruitment offers with a focus on the identification of commercial graduates for the commodities sector.
Neil Hart
Director
Following an academic grounding in history and geopolitics, Neil spent 20 years with BP Oil International as an operator and then as a Gasoline and Jet trader; as a blender and production planner at Nerefco Refinery; across business and asset development and negotiation for Air BP; and latterly as Supply Leader for the East Med, where he was responsible for BP’s trading and supply teams around Greece and Turkey. Subsequently, Neil has been an industry advisor via his Bastion Enterprise consultancy; developed the strategy and financing of a N. African Exploration venture; and spent a year with Klesch Global Commodities in Geneva as Head of Oil Origination. Having also worked at Smart Global Trading where he delivered training, recruitment, risk-management and consultancy projects, Neil now leads Pennine Energy’s Resources training and commercial advisory business.
Howard Greenwood
Director
Founding partner of Pennine Energy, Howard was formerly a senior products trader and member of the management and risk committees at Hartree Partners where he spent 18 years as head of residuals and feedstocks trading. Prior to his time at Hartree, Howard was a senior trader at BP Oil International and has over 30 years of experience spanning the global energy markets.
Charlie Bell
Director
Charlie joined Pennine Energy Resources as the Business Manager of BioMark in May 2025. In this role, Charlie is overseeing business development, client relations, and operational strategy. Drawing on his background in Biological Sciences and commercial experience in a Nordic energy company, he is helping to drive BioMark’s next phase of growth and expansion.
